Alinta Gas payment slips have removed the option of paying by mail.

I'm in the lucky situation where I have transport and am fit 50's and able BUT:

I refuse to own a credit card. I am happy with my cheque account with the ANZ Bank Innaloo who I have banked with 30 years. The bank fees are low. I was sad when they moved from my area and I now deposit my cheques with them by mail. So far so good. BUT it would be impossible for me to travel during my working hours from my work place to queue for long periods in my lunch hours. Same as for elderly people and carers without credit cards queueing at post offices, particularly at busy Christmas time to pay $25 bills. Since 22 Nov' 2002 ANZ Bank Innaloo have no longer displayed their postal address on their monthly bank statements.

I'm not happy with Alinta Gas for the sake of elderly people in Perth. Elederly people generally do not have online access. To add insult to injury Alinta Gas increased their natural gas price by 2.8% while decreasing their payment options.
