When is the Electoral commission going to learn?????

I refer of course to news that the daylight savings referendum acceptable voting methods was revealed.

a YES vote will count to the affirmative

a NO vote will count to the negative

a (tick) will count to the affirmative

a (cross) will be invalid?????????

Can't common sense prevail???? Just put two boxes on the form, one for YES and one for NO... people can write, colour in, put a tick or cross in the respected boxes to register their vote.

While their at it, why don't they provide room at the bottom of the form for people to write what they think about any topic, nuclear power, birth control, euthanasia, defence spending etc. All this information can then be published and our elected leaders can then get an idea what their electorate wants them to do in parliament for them, instead of only taking what issues minority groups hound their offices with daily to parliament.
